There so so much hype about fat burning foods that it can be difficult to sort out which foods really do help you lose weight by boosting your metabolism and which ones are just overhyped and perhaps even ineffective. Before you spend your money on a refrigerator and/or pantry of foods to help you lose weight, let’s take a look at the real super foods that will help you in your dieting efforts.

Vegetables

Asparagus is another great vegetable with many super food qualities including an array of antioxidants and phytonutrients. It’s extremely high in fiber and as with all of the non-starchy vegetables can full you up and help you curb your appetite.

Celery is known for being perhaps the stereotypical “diet food,” but beyond that it is a terrific source of potassium as well as fiber. It is valuable as a natural and gentle diuretic and can help with bloating.

Radishes are a great source of key nutrients including calcium and iron. High fiber and pungent in flavor, they can help give you a boost.

In addition to an array of vitamins, the apples are also very high in fiber, in particular pectin fiber which is a soluble fiber that helps digestion and also helps curb hunger. Apples a day may indeed help you to melt the pounds away!

Blueberries, Strawberries, Raspberries,Cranberries and other berries. We may by now know that the berries are nutritional powerhouses and deserving of the super foods title. Yes, they are useful for so much from helping prevent or reverse cardiovascular disease and brain aging to helping with eye health due to their high amount of phytochemicals and antioxidants. Mustard.
You can sprinkle powdered mustard over your foods for added flavor and for the thermogenic effects of mustard which serves to raise the body’s metabolic rate. If you are looking for prepared mustard read the labels carfully to avoid getting brands that are high in sugar and/or sodium. You can find some relatively natural stone ground varieties at the supermarket as well as a wealthy of varieties at gourmet and specialty shops.

Turmeric. This spice is the ingredient that gives curry powder its characteristic bright color.
